Liverpool based Charity Merseyside Refugee Support Network (MRSN) have been successful in securing funding from the LifeLong Learning Programme to become a partner in a LEONARDO Partnership Project called LLLVT - Lifelong Language Learning in Vocational Training.

LLLVT partnership co-ordinated by CKU Bialystok - Poland, is a two year project that will developing new methods for teaching vocational English as a second language in vocational training amongst students in learning proffesions with disabilities and refugee communities. The aim is to develop new methods for teaching and learning languages with the help of electrical learning environments (Moodle). In the UK context, the development of English language materials (for reading and writing skills which can ultimately be accessed for E’learning) will be contextualised to support learners in their job seeking activities. The materials developed will be piloted and learners will be supported with additional skills in English Speaking and Listening.

MRSN will recieve €15,000 to take part in 8 ‘mobilities' across the 2 years for staff and learners.

The funding available allows you to work with partners from across Europe to share practice, discuss problems and compare solutions on a particular topic. Partnerships can be on any topic in vocational education and training.
