Merseyside Music Development Agency and Liverpool Community Spirit have been selected by UK National Agency - The British Council to participate in APPETISER-UK - An introduction to International Youth Work Seminar to be held in London on 8-12 October 2009. Both organisations will recieve funding support from the UK National Agency to attend the 4 day seminar.

Appetiser aimes to give a strong positive first experience of international youth work and motivate participants to use the “Youth in Action” Programme. This aim summarises the entire idea of the seminar – to give a feeling, what it means to work with young people in an international setting. Leaving all explanations and knowledge aside it is about giving a space for participants to explore the advantage of “internationality” themselves.

Appetiser is aimed at youth leaders and/or youth workers working actively at local and/or national level willing to extend their youth activities to international level.

Participants will be from a variety of organisations from across Europe including Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Turkey.
