Liverpool community organisations Sonic Boom and Transatlantic Promotions have been selected by Youth in Action to participate in a European Youth Unemployment Seminar in Sweden 22 - 26th March 2010 hosted by non profit organisation Communicare based in Karlstad Sweden. Both organisations will recieve funding support from Youth in Action to attend the 5 day seminar in Sweden in March.

European Youth Unemployment seminar

During the seminar participants will meet with other youth workers to discuss and develop new methods and strategies, share best practices on how to combat unempleyment in Europe and explore the possibilities with the Youth In Action program and the information network Eurodesk.

Aim

The aim for the seminar is to identify and develop new methods and share good practice on how to combat youth unemployment in Europe.

Goals

  • All participants should have increased knowledge about the possibilities with the program Youth In Action and the information network Eurodesk.
  • All participants should have increased knowledge about the labourmarket and situation for youth in other European countries.
  • All participants should have increased knowledge and practical methods on how to work more effective with changing attitudes and stimulate personal entrepreneurship among youth.
