Prevention of and Fight against Crime
The new programme "Prevention of and Fight against Crime" provides financial support to activities under Title VI of the Treaty on European Union regarding all types of crime (in particular terrorism, trafficking in persons and offences against children, illicit drug trafficking and illicit arms trafficking, corruption and fraud).
"Prevention of and Fight against Crime" consists of the following themes:
crime prevention and criminology,
law enforcement,
protection and support to witnesses
protection of victims.
A call for proposals has been published by the Commission and the latest deadlines for submission of applications is 31 October 2008.
